Case Study - UBM Medica - Skin Anatomy
UBM Medica Asia required a number of very high quality, detailed anatomical illustrations for a client project. The illustrations were to show the stages of eczema and the anatomy of skin. UBM Medica asked the Medical-Artist.com team to produce the illustrations for this patient information project.
As the UBM team are based in Singapore the project was conducted through emails and exchanging files over the Internet. After initial consultation pencil sketches of the eczema illustrations were turned around very quickly so that UBM could present the sketches to the client and get medical sign off of the anatomy to be illustrated. It was easy for the UBM team to then feedback any comments and the team at Medical-Artist.com then created the eczema illustrations digitally.
Given the very large size of the final printed output (A2 size) the illustrations were created using a combination of Adobe™ Illustrator™ and Adobe™ Photoshop™. Using these applications we were able to provide large but also very detailed medical illustrations of eczema for UBM Medica within the project timescale and deliver the files for printing outside of the UK.
