Digital Medical Illustrations Portfolio

How do Digital Medical Illustrations Benefit me - The Customer.....

Containing a digital colour pallet, plus 3D and animation capabilities, the technology of digital art is a very exciting medium, resulting in unique and original pieces of artwork that benefits any customer project. The artwork has a clean and precise look about it, ideal for complex work, but also allows for production of more technical items such as medical instruments, buildings, hospital equipment extending even to figurative work. Its very versatile.

One of the best points of digital media, Is that it can be combined with traditional mediums too, to keep to an artistic feel if necessary, pushing the boundaries with regards to what a medical illustrator can achieve. Again resulting in the client getting vibrant, realistic images, that can be tailored to suit the needs for every project.

As a medical illustrator with graphic skills, Joanna can use her creativity and design skills to produce the illustration as as well as supply them in a leaflet or poster layout format, in order to give you an overall medical illustration service. To discuss your specific medical or scientific illustration project requirements you can contact Joanna here.

How are Digital Medical Illustrations Produced....

Digital illustrations are produced in exactly the same way as any other project or illustration. To start, pencil sketches are produced and used as the base for the creation of colour or line artwork. The sketches are scanned so they appear on screen. With a digital pen, paints, airbrush to hand, the digital medium can create very exciting and realistic illustratons. Because digital uses a digital airbrush instead of a traditional paint brush, it is therefore referred to as digital' paintings.

Digital artwork is also an ideal medium to build graphs and charts, and can include detailed realistic anatomy features, to really make the graph stand out. All illustrations can be incorporated into any form of media, from websites to leaflets. Digital medical illustrations can be supplied as vector images such as Illustrator files, or pixel such as Photoshop. The illustrations can also be animated to really generate interaction and interest to fit the brief.
