The Process of Commissioning Medical Legal Illustrations

1. Contact the team with the specifics of your case and you will be provided with a written proposal of a visual strategy for the medical legal illustrations required plus an estimated cost. Each case is reviewed and tailored individually, and the medical legal illustrations can be presented as handouts at pre trial events such as size A4, prepared onto powerpoint presentation with the illustrations on slides, or they can be supplied as full colour storyboards, charts, graphs, or presentations that can be seen by a whole courtroom.

1a. For generic illustrations of anatomy, a fee for use of existing illustrations can be discussed and a one off fee agreed.

2. For illustrations created from patients records, preliminary sketches are supplied for review by medical experts working for the solicitor. If necessary the sketches are revised before the full colour A4 (8 x 12 inches) exhibits are produced for deposition and pre-trial activities.

2a. If the case proceeds to trial, the medical legal illustrations are enlarged to full colour A1 (23 x 33 inches) exhibits and mounted as rigid storyboards to allow convenient and clear viewing by all in court.
