Muscle Spasticity

Here we have covered the spasticity condition which is the altering of skeletal muscle performance in muscle tone involving hypertonia. Spasticity occurs in disorders of the central nervous system impacting the upper motor neuron in the form of a lesion, such as spastic diplegia, but it can also present in various types of multiple sclerosis, which are autoimmune conditions. Muscle affected include decreased movement control, muscle weakness, involuntary rapid muscle contractions often symptomatic of muscle over-exertion and/or muscle fatigue, exaggerated deep tendon reflexes and decreased endurance.

The following sections cover only a small range of illustrations that we can provide. Please contact the team to discuss your specific requirements for your project and how we can create illustrations that will make your visual communications stand out from the crowd.
