Pastel Medical Art Portfolio

Pastel is a pure powdered pigment ground into a paste with a minumum amount of gum binder, rolled into sticks and dried. These pastel sticks provide an infinite variety of colours and their vibrancy can create lovely soft tones and shades making the finished product look very pleasing to the eye. Pastel is a very suitable medium for medical illustrations. They can be combined with other mediums to create very unique illustrations. Pastel also works well when used for patient education materal, it has a soft quality that is appealing and non invasive.
