British Dental Journal Covers

The Client

Our client,  The British Dental Journal (BDJ) is an international, peer reviewed journal for the dental community, published by Springer Nature on behalf of the British Dental Association. The aim is to inform its readers of ideas, opinions, developments and key issues in dentistry – clinical, practical and scientific – to spark interest, debate and discussion amongst dentists of all disciplines.

The Brief

The brief involved working on a medical illustration cover series for the next volume of the BDJ, depicting 12 different oral surgery or general dental procedures: fillings, dental implants, root canal procedure, dental braces, veneers, tooth whitening, crowns & bridges, removal of impacted teeth. The medium of choice was pencil and coloured pencil. Covers 11 and 12 to follow once they are published in  June and July.
