Flashcards are a set of cards bearing information used within teaching to educate all manner of subjects. They are made up of printed cards with visuals or illustrations on either or both sides, with a question on a card and an answer overleaf used in classroom drills or in private study. They can also be created to be used in an electronic format. The question-and-answer format using visuals aids in the learning experience. Flashcards are widely used as a learning drill to aid memorisation by way of visual learning and spaced repetition.
