Working in collaboration Christine Just, Joanna Culley and Tim Butler came together to combine their skills and self publish their own book using the iBooks platform with which to design and sell the book. Christine Just as the author, Joanna Culley as the illustrator and Tim Butler the digital expert to market the final product.

About Christine Just, RN, MSN, CNM

Christine Just, RN, MSN, CNM is a certified nurse-midwife in the USA with over 20 years of maternity care experience in both educational and clinical roles. She has created numerous perinatal programs for expecting families, educators and nurses including online and digital education.

Christine has also produced over 200 articles on evidence-based prenatal and postpartum content and has developed over 20 webinars with key local & national healthcare experts. She also serves as board member of Healthy Mothers and Healthy Babies Coalition of Massachusetts and co-chair of the Education Committee for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN), MA Chapter.

About Tim butler Ba(Hons) MIDM

Tim is a digital expert and he owns and runs his own company called Innovation Visual Ltd. Tim’s expertise is search engine optimisation and digital marketing and Tim’s expert knowledge of new technologies and how best to harness them for the purposes of communication allows us at Medical-Artist.com to provide clients with more than simply illustrations. Tim is co-owner of the business and helps Joanna with project management and is particularly involved in the new media in digital media projects such as augmented reality, iBook creation, animations, apps, website development and 3D work as well as advising clients on how to best use their visual assets to further improve their communications, primarily the medical illustrations.

About Joanna Culley Ba(Hons)

Joanna Culley is the lead medical artist,  founder and director of Medical-Artist.com. Joanna’s goal as a medical artist is to create medical art that serves a direct purpose to help with a clients medical communications, whether its to gain a patient’s consent before surgery,  to enhance written documentation, or assist with medical marketing. Joanna’s illustrations showing the 40 weeks foetal development were key in helping to illuminate the written text and adding that extra visual engagement.
