Medical Illustration for UBM Medica

Medical illustrations of the skin for anatomy posters

You are here: ...
Client: UBM Medica Asia
Medium: Digital, (Photoshop)

UBM Medica Asia required a number of very high quality, detailed anatomical illustrations for a client project for patient education posters on skin anatomy. The illustrations were to show the stages of eczema and the anatomy of skin. UBM Medica asked the Medical-Artist.com team to produce the illustrations for this patient information project.

Project Brief

As the UBM team are based in Singapore the project was conducted through emails and exchanging files over the internet. After initial consultation pencil sketches of the eczema illustrations were turned around very quickly so that UBM could present the sketches to the client and get medical sign-off of the proposed pencil sketches. We made it easy for the UBM team to feedback any comments through our provision of concise sketches that clearly demonstrated our knowledge of the skin anatomy.  The team at Medical-Artist.com created the eczema illustrations digitally using the sketches as the basis of the painting process.

Given the very large size of the final printed output (A2 size) the illustrations were created using a combination of Adobe™ Illustrator™ and Adobe™ Photoshop™. Using these applications we were able to provide large but also very detailed medical illustrations of eczema for UBM Medica within the project timescale and deliver the files ready for printing outside of the UK.
